Ross Valery Interview

Tue. September 9, 2008

“This is like the sixth or seventh phase of the band, and it seems to me it’s more than a chapter,” said Valory, calling from North Carolina. “It’s like a new book. This is a new volume with the arrival of Arnel and with the album out, and the reception it’s getting. It’s not like we’re starting all over again but it’s a whole new ballgame.

“I guess it has to do with the right person. The right piece to a puzzle, and that’s the way it has appeared to have happened with Arnel. He has all the right qualities to fit in this band and make it his own. He sounds like Journey. So with the creation of new material that we just put out, and are getting airplay with, it sounds like us. There’s the whole aspect of his performing energy as well on the stage. It’s just infectious.”

TempletonTales Talks About Journey

Tue. July 22, 2008

Templeton Tales writes about his experience with Journey’s concert:

Who knew so many people liked Journey?

The night began with a tailgating party in the parking lot! Woop! Woop!

Then we headed into the stadium…SOLD OUT! It was packed. We got lawn seats because the majority (sorry Laurel & Heidi) cared more about socializing than the actual concert. Thankfully Laurel got there early and threw down some blankets so we all had plenty of space. And that was a good thing, because they COMPLETELY oversold the lawn…there were crowds of people standing on the pathway, and even climbing behind the fence of the ampitheater and sitting in the trees…girls were peeing in the bushes…it was like a 3rd world country. It was CRAZY.

Julius writes his concert experience with Journey and Arnel in San Diego:

I went to see the Journey band’s Revelation Concert at Crickett Amphitheatre, Chula Vista (about 15 miles south of San Diego), California last night July 15th, 2008. What a night of melodic Rock music that was! Totally awesome night of music performance.
